"You can save two ways with this company called Relationship Audits Audits. You can save money in a sense of preventing problems where you might lose something and they will help identify opportunities where you may gain something.
The two mantra that persist in my business and the communications business nowadays are the pursuit of big ideas and that correlation with the return on investment. Now, this is not a conversation on big ideas, but agencies produce those but so too many other sectors of industry in their own way.
What we're all obsessed with of course is the return of investment and increasingly, more and more of my clients are taking that obsession to the very high end of the type of research that they put in place and the money they invest in finding out exactly where their money has been spent and why it has been spent in an appropriate way.
There's lots of different things that we do to measure that. This tool that Relationship Audits Audits brings to people like myself and the clients is yet one other method of measuring return and investment. The investment here happens to be in the Relationship Audits and the output and I don't think see why that should be in any way confined to the media industry. I think it can be appropriate in financial services, in multiple groceries, wherever you want to take it because this gets to the inner core of a Relationship Audits and the inner core of a Relationship Audits is where money is held.
Somewhere between 15% and 20% is the amount of money we probably would have lost had we not known about if Simon and his team had not unearthed when they have been in those markets.
This is a very commercial decision and it's the bits that I don't know which have the highest value."
