Ann Nurock

Ann has spent the last 25 plus years in the communications industry primarily with Grey Advertising, moving up the ranks till she was appointed CEO of South Africa in 2003.

She and her team not only doubled the size of the agency in three years but were ranked as the top performing new business winning agency within the Grey Global network.

Ann launched a black economic empowerment initiative programme entitled the Grey Action Programme, which resulted in employment and training particularly in the service area for many young interns.

She was recognised as one of the 3 Most Influential Women in the Communications Industry in 2007, conducted a series of seminars and talks on business, service skills, communication and leadership.

In 2008 Ann was appointed President and CEO Grey Canada and relocated to Toronto. Her passion for South Africa and making a real difference to the future of the country resulted in her return in October 2011.

She prides herself on excellence in the service arena, having worked upon international and local blue chip clients such as Procter and Gamble, Glaxo SmithKline, Barclays, Nokia, RIM, AVI, Mazda, Visa, Diageo / Brandhouse, Mars, E*Trade and Emirates amongst others.

Ann has a BA degree from the University of Witwatersrand. She now lives in Cape Town with her husband Oliver.
